Our
Projects

During this year, City Beat will be producing several documentaries this year. The first is called "From Monument To Motown: The Skip Williams Story". This is a two-part documentary that begins in Springfield, MA, with the creation of a monument, for Black Vietnam Veteran casualties, and ends with Skip's journey to Lancaster, CA and becomes manager of the Motown recording group The Originals.

Tribute artists are as compassionate about their craft as the megastars that they channel, This documentary goes behind the scenes of some of the most successful impersonators to go into their world, from average Joe or Josephene, to becoming their idol.

This documentary has been decades in the making and is one of our most exciting projects to date. June is Black Music Month and we release the Trailor for this project. We have captured amazing stories and reflections from a myriad of indie and major recording artists. This may be another 2 part project.
